Tuff Scent Nail Polish - 2 shades/scents: Soak Up The Sun (coconut) & Truth (Pineapple Kiwi) - pics, swatches, review

Hello, Beautiful!

You may have been a fan back in the 90's, and Tuff Scent has since relaunched with new shades/scents. This scented nail polish line currently offers 32 different shades/scents. I have two: Soak Up The Sun - which is a copper glitter with a Coconut scent - and Truth - a gorgeous light blue creme shade with a Pineapple Kiwi scent. Check out my full review below, including all the product info, after the pics!

Tuff Scent Scent Infused Nail Polish Info & Review:
Cost/Availability: $10.00 each (0.50 oz full size). Available on the Tuff Scent website and on the Fine n Funky website.
My Rating: 5 out of 5 Kisses!

Tuff Scent Nail Polish is all about giving your nails a pleasant scent after the polish dries. Once dried, the scent will last about 24 to 72 hours. And yes, even if you apply a top coat over top you will still be able to smell the scent.

Tuff Scent, if you didn't know, was launched originally in the 90's but has since been re-launched. Back in the original launch it quickly became an overnight global sensation retailing at 2,000 stores worldwide. The line quickly developed an A-List celebrity following and has been featured on everything from Oprah, to Good Morning America, to Fox News, to InStyle, Vogue, W, and Cosmopolitan just to name a few.

Their new re-launch included 20 new colors/scents. They are now just $10 each (were $14 each). And now currently there are 32 shades/scents.

I have two shades/scents:

Soak Up The Sun
  • Coconut scent
  • Copper glitter

Truth
  • Pineapple Kiwi scent
  • Light blue creme

These polishes have a different top than most -- they featured a metal rose/flower. The bottles are a nice shape too. These bottles stand out, even on my polish shelves (which contain over 2,000 shades).

The shade Soak Up The Sun was opaque in 2 coats and had a nice creamy coconut scent.

The shade Truth was more thin in consistency and needed 3 thin coats to be opaque. It has a really yummy tropical scent. Loved this scent! Which all nail polish would smell this way!

I do find the polish tends to drip down the polish brush from the lid downwards, so you will need to wipe it on the bottle rim to have the best application/control - but that's pretty true for a lot of of polishes.

I really liked these polishes and would love to try more shades and more scents!

Now let me know what you think...
